The joys of a Leo bro....

Updated: Jul 29, 2019

My bro is big into MLVC, Leo season. She is Leo. 16/08/59. Year of the dog (Chinese horoscope, every 12 years) It's Leo season, ruled by the Sun ( a star) not a planet.

My bro is here, Leo, and of course we are listening to MLVC, Leo. Of xcourse, her new album as 'Madame X'

If you saw her at the Eurovision Contest, as 'Madame X' - in Israel, you'll get it. If you did not, I'm sorry for you.

My daughter is Leo, 11/08/97

My bro is Leo 4/08/69

MY Pa is Leo, 31/07/37

I have Leo on my north node, mid-haven

Astrologers will suggest that in your later years, you tend to become more in the energy of your north node, your mid-haven. Since mine is in Leo, I guess that I relate more to Leos - in my later years, the regal lion. I have always gotten on well with Leos> fire signs of the zodiac. Aries, Leo, Sagittarius. Ophiuchus is all the signs combined - but shows more characteristics of Scorpio and Sagittarius (because of it's seasonal placement Nov 30 -Dec 17th. Watery/Firey energy.

Aries - the leader of the zodiac (Britain was born in the age of Aries) a leading modern nation

Leo, (Italy was born in the age of Leo)... lions everywhere and ostentation.

Spain was born in the age of Sagittarius. Hasta manana, open, friendly, rebellious proud of their roots.

MLVC isa Italian and French American. Her mother - who died when she was six, of cancer -was French. Her father, Italian.

I remember, when my daughter was going through hell, with her broken ankle (in her first term of third year degree) - the year to work.

It goes like this:

Year one = party...till you drop

Year two = WTF am I doing here?

Year three = I'd better do some fucking work

.....and her roomies turning on her, like pack wolves, because she was depressed. I was angry, but I also get how immature bitches can be. All I wanted to do was defend her and go up to roar at them, and rip them apart. Lionesses defend their young like a mother-fucker.

Of course she advised me not to. Leo charged (mid haven, north node), with Ophiuchus (Scorp/Sag) The 'hidden 13th constellation', with Scorpio ascendant.... whoa!

Fuck with my daughter...I really don't think so. So I slipped into my Sag side (the Sage).....Sagacious, = wise and how I often interact with the outside world. And my Pisces moon = emotionally compassionate, my Venus Capricorn, my Mars Capricorn... (practical in Love and War).

Let's just do good advice, and wisdom of age and experience, have a hint of compassion (because they are clearly stoopid-ass immature, biaches.)

We worked it out, but my initial reaction is rather Ophiuchus and Scorpionic.

"I'm gonna sort those bitches out, can I come over to verbally and physically assassinate them out of your home?"

Hang on (the cool side of Sag kicks in, wisdom and higher knowledge and the practical; Capricorn Venus (Love) Capricorn Mars (War). "Let them suffer their own Karma. Fuck that shit, move on. Just move out of their fucktarded way and move in with some kindreds. No regrets"

MLVC.... New album, on my Bro's blue tooth speaker. I'm falling in love with it. Says it all.

I my humble personal opinion, her best work (my faves) are 'Ray of LIght', produced in UK, with William Orbit, and 'Confessions on the Dance Floor' (it's like dark Disco), followed by 'Bedtime Stories' (which I listened to incessantly when I lived on Marine Parade, just before I went to Glastonbury and then Spain). Then, 'American Life' (feat Justin Timberlake - Four Minutes) came out when I moved back to Brighton, 2002/3

The 'Music' album, was also quite poignant. I was lucky enough to have seen the Brixton Academy gig. My Bro got tickets ..he gave me two hours notice. Dec. 2nd 2002, a day after my 37th birthday .. to get from Clapham and find a baby sitter, short notice ... not too easy....So, since the only people in the street who acknowledged me were an Asian family (extended) and smiled at me across the road. They'd lived there for years, even before Michael Portillo (Spanish origin, father got out during the Spanish civil war) had lived in the grove.

It was the granny's house first of all...they looked pretty stable to me. I knocked on their door and, they were cool with me, I always said hello to them if I passed them on my bike or with my daughter. Their son was about Alicia's age (4 ish). He was cute, and always looked at my daughter, if we passed by.

So, I explained, on their doorstep in my Lama wool South American poncho, holding my daughter's hand, that I simply had to go and see MVLC, because she was doing a rare gig in Brixton. Could they, please, have Alicia for an hour or two, until my sister came back from work. She had seen my sister, and they had acknowledged each other, my sis ands her partner knew that they had lived there years - had respect. You know, when you are caucasian, moving into a predominantly Asian/black community...respect your neighbours, they have been their long. Respect you neighbours for keeping it nice and chill, nice and family.

We went in. We were invited. It was simple, tidy and clean...I met the extended family. Alicia was cool with their son and he was eager to interact. I do not think that he had many friends. Ethnic minority - at a predominantly white private school and as Asians and blacks moved out and white middle-classes moved in. Alicia was keen to interact. I told her that auntie Julia would collect her soon. I had to go.

I hugged and kissed her. I had told her where I was going. I had already introduced her to MLVC's music, from the age of 13 months, The 'Ray of Light' album, we would dance to it. I would put her to bed, while it played in the background, or 'Bedtime Stories'. There is a song on 'Ray of Light., called "Little Star", dedicated to MLVC's daughter, Lourdes (Lola) born Oct. 96. ( 9 months before my little star) Yes, I was inspired by this. I had watched the film 'Evita', in Malaga, went on my own. It blew me away. It was a musical, directed by Andrew Lloyd Webber, who had created it as a West End Musical, Elaine Page. I consider 'Evita' to be up there with 'Phantom of the Opera'. In my view the best pieces of work produced Tim Rice/ Andrew Lloyd Webber collaboration. Resonates with me. When I went to see the movie I cried and felt that it was the best piece of film/music collaboration that I had seen, to date.

If you have not seen the film "Evita" starring a pregnant MLVC and the Malaguenan and gorgeous Antonio Banderas as Che Guevara... I recommend it. It is, at least an interesting story and ~ MLVC is perfect as her representation of Eva Perron. he had had voice coaching, working closely with ALW. Pitch perfect. She wore brown contact lenses. She looked so much like her, with her Latin roots. I think that she could identify with the character. Evita died of cancer, and she had the people's vote...like Diana, she was humanitarian. She had star quality... and became the 'Saviour of the people' of Argentina, giving hope for a better country.

She did not ever forget her roots and her struggle to get out of poverty and hardship. Her father had abandoned the family, in favour of another one. She grew up as 'the other family', cared for by her single mother and siblings. She had fire in her belly. Not unlike MLCV, who lost her mother, aged six, and grew up with a loveless step mother. It is said that children who experience trauma, at this age (7 being the first cycle of growth, then 14, then 21, 28 (the beginning of maturity 28-30) are particularly affected.

Saturn spends two years in each sign. It can be harsh as fuck... especially when it's in Sag... very unlike Capricorn, fun loving , throwing caution to the wind, a bit wild-sided, comical rather than serious, unconventional) - Sober, Serious Saturn - bringer of old age - rules Capricorn. etc. Capricorns: Sensible, grounded, practical, conventional, earthy-natural. I should know. Capricorn placements Venus and Mars (practical and conventional in love and war, ages well and slenderly) My 'Saturnian hell' was 2016 - 2018...You'd better dot the 'I.s' and cross the 'T's", or you will suffer tomorrow... that's Saturn's command when it's in your astro-sign. I consulted many astrologers to discover why I was having such a fucking hard time, during that period.

For the previous two years, 2014-2016 before it transitioned in December to Ophiuchus/Sagittarius. It was in the sign of Scorpio, not too bad for Scorps. They are a fixed sign and can harness the 'serious', more than Ophiuchus/Sagittarius. Although, to be fair, Ophiuchus is made up of all the astro signs... equal measures of air, fire, earth and water...but mostly displays traits of both Scorpio and Sagittarius. Saturn is now, thankfully at home in Capricorn...it left Sag in Jan 2019. - making way for lucky Jupiter is at home in Sagittarius. The reward, after harsh Saturn. Jupiter's transit is roughly a year, Saturn's is two.

I struggled with Saturn passing through...I kinda hungered for a Capricornians...my ex, Mike, was Capricorn/Aquarius cusp. My daughter's father = Capricorn. But.... I was lucky, I reunited with an old friend, Laura/Laure.... from Belgium... Capricorn - and born just 6 weeks after me.... and one of my lodgers was Capricorn, and my friend's daughter, Ruby....lovely, practical, grounded, earthy individuals.

Capricorns are pretty much grounded in the 3D, good at earning pentacles (represented in the suit of pentacles - money and practical earthly matters) Feminine earth sign.

The mountain goats with the fish tail, representing the climb from sea to mountain top.

Methodical...they always get there..through perseverance and graft.

Why I loved my daughter's father... ? His practical outlook, day to day...makes you feel as if you can climb the mountain. Made the mountain seem like a molehill. He thought that I was 'impossible', because my dreams were so big, and I wanted more than to climb the mountain.. but, I must say that living together in Andalucia, was a pleasant compromise. We mainly got on well...until...my unconventional ways...my need to escape to the sea.. my need to make my own decisions. I remember him taking me through my grammar and verb conjugation lessons...harsh and Saturnian (the hard taskmaster of the solar system) like a strict school teacher...I'm sure that he must have had some viking going on..well, he was 6' 2".

Absent friends. Loved and missed
