When you believe in souls, soul contracts, kindreds, soul mates, karma, karmics, spirit, the esoteric you have your work cut out for you. When you have a thirst for knowledge and enlightenment, a hunger for research and uncovering things hidden, things that are not on the surface you find your self digging into an endless source of information. The more you glean from what you hear/read/observe you get to realise that you search less and find more. It is as if the information keeps falling into your lap. Knowledge is power and it is an holistic power that cannot corrupt. Knowledge can lead to truth. The truth, at first might piss you off, but then it will set you free.
The Heyoka Empath is a recent discovery, to me. I was aware of the concept of 'Empaths', some time ago and I have come across different 'types' of Empath. One of them is Heyoka (sacred clown).
Now, the Empath requires a lot of 'down time', because they can absorb and pick up on everyone's energy and it can wear them out. Empaths do not like crowded situations or tight spaces. It overwhelms them. Empaths can use tools, such as white sage, salt baths, time out, to cleanse their energy. Empaths are naturally empathetic and because of their finely attuned to others' energy they can help people with their problems. An Heyoka Empath (from the Native American language) is a comic. Their sense of fun, joke and playfulness can offer the kind of healing that some people respond to very well.
Heyoka's need to work on keeping their spirits up, staying positive and not allowing other's to project negativity. Which is an irony because, I have found, that many people might have the urge to 'hate on you' because they are jealous of your smiley, happy and upbeat behaviour. Heyoka's can come off as 'different', 'high', 'not thinking before speaking', 'centre of attention', 'wanting to have too much fun'. Heyokas are not always taken seriously because they look as if they do not take life seriously. Far from the truth. Because they take life seriously, their outlet is to laugh and make others laugh. The serious side of life can bring the Heyoka's spirit down and depressing life events need to be turned around into something fun, funny or irony. The worst state of mind for an Heyoka is a sad one.
Someone once said, "If you feel sad, force a smile. It will trick your brain into thinking that you are happy...soon enough you will laugh".....
....besides, to smile 12 muscles, 11 muscles to grimace/frown. Not a lot in it. Go on, extra push, one more muscle. That's easy to say from someone who puts in the extra : )
