Monday 14 May
Evening run cancelled due to enough physical activity for the day
I don't have a desk job. I don't have a sedentary job
For the other runners in the HH club...they need it more..many of them are desk jobbers
Me? I've walked a couple of km with the dog, played football with the dog, gardened for the best part of the day, climbed up on window sills, hung (dangerously) out of windows with secateurs, stripped ivy, weeded teasels and convolvulus, cleared and pruned trees, filled compost bags, read a bit of my book, had a cuppa with my neighbour, reflected a bit, filled the washing machine, went to the shops, topped up my energy supplies, had a *trauma in the shop, smiled at a few people, cracked a couple of jokes, had a bit of a dispute with said shop (for losing my electric key) swore a bit (punctuated my p**ed off-ness with a few random f***s, and shocked the shop assistant), did not shock myself because I am always using the f-word with no apology, made some diary bookings, opened mail, fed the cat (20,000 times, I wonder why she is still so skinny) played with the dog in the garden, re organised space in the second bedroom, cleared up the kitchen, filled the dishwasher, cleared the bathroom surfaces, hung up clothes, packed up clothes, watered my indoor plants, reviewed my latest paintings cleared our old paint, reorganised my work space, unloaded some of my portfolios, filed some receipts....and now I'm doing a bit of work for my daughter....which could take me well into the midnight hours...I'm not watching the clock. I'm watching completion of tasks... how long it takes me is immaterial. Time is an illusion.
Hmmmm, looks like my day did not require me to burn anymore energy
I get asked if I eat enough. Yes. I burn a lot. Firey Sagittarius side of Ophiuchus...ants in our pants...hardly sit still for long. Get bored easily, hence usually have ten things going on at once.
And that, my darlings, is why we have the best legs, are the most prone to sound as if we exaggerate, are most likely to say "if a job needs doing, I'll do it myself"- are, by far and away, the most sociable, funny, friendly and generous (without even trying), and get easily spooked or 'traumatised' by situations when they make no sense.
*Psychological trauma is a type of damage to the mind that occurs as a result of a distressing event. Trauma is often the result of an overwhelming amount of stress that exceeds one's ability to cope, or integrate the emotions involved with that experience.
When you have had 4 mental breakdowns...losing an item in a shop, because the assistant did not return it to you after using it (and then insisting that they had done so)....is actually traumatic. Every little rushed and/or unprofessional event becomes traumatic.
I did, however, receive an apology. I was very clear about why I was irritated. It was not anyone's 'fault'. It was a simple as the shop suddenly filling up with blokes wanting their beer...queuing impatiently and transacting quickly.
I was holding up a queue, taking my own sweet time, making sure that my handbag was in order, my shopping was well-packed etc.
I clearly see that the assistant who had served me had forgotten to return the 'key' to me because he was already onto the next customer.
I explained this to him after telling him and the whole series of events. Without blame....just bringing attention to what had happened and why it had upset me and then pissed me off, because I knew that I was on it and that he was distracted. (after having claimed that he wasn't)
