... I quite liked her. I also think that gender should be taken out of politics. Why? Because it is nothing to do with gender. It's about good leadership qualities and self-promotion.
Boris? Who loves watching the rise and trip-up of Boris? I like him. Why? I like him because he's very intelligent and a bit of a buffoon. He is in the frontline. He must expect to be shot at. I admire anyone who carries on despite the backlashes and bickering and...despite themselves.
I would elect to have a conversation with Boris or Esther McVey, hands down.
I do not vote on 'party' discrimination basis. I see that the labels mean very little, these days. I vote on the individual who most resonates with me. Who sounds as if I could sit and have a cuppa and an intelligent debate with. A person with whom I can identify, not as a gender -based association either. Also, most importantly, that the individual shows enough integrity to actually 'lead'. Strength of character.
I will harp back to *Churchill, and this is because he was a good leader. At times, he faced so much adversity from colleagues, the King of England and even the people. He was real, a dyslexic, a great communicator. He p***ed a lot of people off ... diplomacy, not being his forte : {
The thing he had, the special talent was in this attitude: 'I really do not care what you think. What I think is the thing, because I am here to lead the country out of a very bad situation...no matter what'.
He gave no fig-nuts : )
"Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts".
(Sound)
"If you're going through hell, keep going".
(Ace Advice)
"Never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few".
(Generous)
"Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm".
(Ironic)
"Continuous effort - not strength or intelligence - is the key to unlocking our potential".
(Task Master)
"We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give".
(Truth)
“I object on principle to doing by legislation what properly belongs to human good feeling and charity.” -1902
(Altruistic)
"We shape our buildings; thereafter they shape us".
(Realistic)
"You have enemies? Good. That means you've stood up for something, sometime in your life".
(Independent)
“Nothing in life is so exhilarating as to be shot at without result.” —1898
(Unusually funny)
"Never give in, never give in, never, never, never, never—in nothing, great or small, large or petty—never give in except to convictions of honour and good sense".
(Sensible and strong)

Spoken like a true Sagittarian : )
Call me biased ; )
Much of what (not all) Boris says is interesting and he has a very quick-thinking mind.
Mrs May? Yep, well we have established that she was handed the 'poisoned chalice of Brexit', what a harsh cup to take up...for anyone.
What's ironic is that she is 'leaving' on the environmental note. Plastics, non-reusable plastics. Sure, it's an issue...as is the environment in general. But...really and honestly, this could have been addressed years ago. Imagine, after having been in the full firing line with regards to Brexit, plastics and the environment is a cushy alternative.
I'm not into politician bashing, really. I don't make bad comments, per se (I do laugh at the farcical part of it, the soap opera, the media furore) I imagine how difficult it would be to be who they are. Before you criticise anyone, I advise you walk a mile in their shoes. My political view is largely quite Socialist. Socialism is an economic theory of social organization that believes that the means of making, moving, and trading wealth should be owned or controlled by the community as a whole. ... The main method of democratic socialism is changing society through slow reform rather than a quick revolution.
How would this have worked, as 'The Super State of Europe?'
Slow reform. Being the operative words. In all honesty, Brexit helped to enable the country, and it's place on the worldwide stage of politics, to look more closely at our 'systems' and our 'reformations', which I believe was required and long overdue. Reformation.
This is what I had hoped that it would achieve.
At the very least, change results in some or other type of reform and this is what scares most people. I would say that there are more individuals that fear change as opposed to embrace it.
Personally, I'm very pro-change. Without change we sit stagnant. I see change as opportunity for the new. I have rarely feared change. I anticipate it all of the time.

Oh, yeah
Mmm
Still don't know what I was waitin' for
And my time was runnin' wild
A million dead end streets and
Every time I thought I'd got it made
It seemed the taste was not so sweet
So I turned myself to face me
But I've never caught a glimpse
How the others must see the faker
I'm much too fast to take that test
Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes
Turn and face the strange
Ch-ch-changes
Don't want to be a richer man
Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes
Turn and face the strange
Ch-ch-changes
There's gonna have to be a different man
Time may change me
But I can't trace time
Mmm, yeah
I watch the ripples change their size
But never leave the stream
Of warm impermanence
And so the days float through my eyes
But still the days seem the same
And these children that you spit on
As they try to change their worlds
Are immune to your consultations
They're quite aware of what they're goin' through
Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes
Turn and face the strange
Ch-ch-changes
Don't tell them to grow up and out of it
Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes
Turn and face the strange
Ch-ch-changes
Where's your shame?
You've left us up to our necks in it
Time may change me
But you can't trace time
Strange fascinations fascinate me
Ah, changes are takin'
The pace I'm goin' through
Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes
Turn and face the strange
Ch-ch-changes
Ooh, look out you rock 'n' rollers
Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes
Turn and face the strange
Ch-ch-changes
Pretty soon now you're gonna get older
Time may change me
But I can't trace time
I said that time may change me
But I can't trace time
